Everything you wanted to ask.
Deposits, flights, kids, lesson levels and what to bring. If the answer is not here, call us on 01548 288459 and we will sort it.
Booking
Accommodation, listed meals, beach towels, all listed watersports equipment, bikes, yoga and fitness sessions, and our on-site team support. Flights, airport transfers and some non-inclusive activities are separate.
Yes — many of our destinations offer multiple holiday types from the same base. Talk to the team for package pricing on two-centre holidays.
Travel
We offer ATOL-protected flights as an optional add-on. You can also book your own flights and just buy the ground package from us.
Pre-book a private meet-and-greet transfer through us, or make your own way. Prices and timing vary by destination — we'll send full details once you book.
Food & drink
Most of our hotels run "Club Board": breakfast every day plus 4 evening meals per week. Villas are self-catering with an optional Club Board upgrade.
Yes — let us know when you book and we'll pass the details to the kitchen team. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are always available.
Kids & families
Absolutely. Our beaches shelve gently and we have sessions and kit for all ages. We don't run a formal kids club, but there are regular "Meet Your Mates" sessions for kids and teens through the week.
We don't offer babysitting services — children are welcome everywhere but require parental supervision on the water and in public areas.
Activities
No — everything is turn-up-and-go. Watersports kit is on the beach free to use. Yoga and fitness sessions run to a weekly timetable posted on arrival.
Our instructors are RYA-qualified and used to total beginners. Many of our guests arrive having never been on the water and leave confident solo sailors.
Booking & payment
Call the team on 01548 288459 Mon-Fri 9am-6pm or Sat 9am-1pm, or send an enquiry from any holiday page. We talk you through availability, dates and extras, email a written quote, and you confirm with a deposit. No online cart , every booking has a human on our side of it.
Deposits are typically 25% of the holiday cost at time of booking, with the balance due eight weeks before departure. Flights pay in full at booking. Your written quote spells out the exact figures and dates before you pay anything.
Flights are quoted alongside the holiday rather than bundled, so you only pay for the routing that works for you. We'll match flights to your preferred dates from your preferred UK airport, or if you'd rather book your own flights we can work around your schedule.
Yes. Our weeks run Saturday to Saturday by default but we can extend, combine two weeks back-to-back (flotilla followed by a beach-club week is a favourite), or add a pre- or post-holiday night somewhere. Mention it when you enquire and we will build the itinerary.
UK debit and credit card (no surcharge on debit), bank transfer, or Trust My Travel for protected payments. We do not accept cash. Card payments are processed by Stripe and never stored by us.
Yes, and we rarely charge for it if there is time before departure. Name changes, room upgrades, adding a child, swapping a cabin , tell us what you need. Some supplier charges (flight name changes, for example) are unavoidable but we'll quote those upfront.
Travel & transfers
Most BeyondBeach guests fly from Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham or Edinburgh. We work with British Airways, Jet2, easyJet, Ryanair and Wizz Air across our three countries. Regional options depend on season so ring the team for live availability.
Geneva to Val Thorens is around 3hr 45min, Meribel around 2hr 45min, Vaujany around 2hr 30min door-to-door when roads are clear. Saturday peak-season traffic adds 30 to 60 minutes. We arrange private or shared transfers on request.
Yes. The Eurostar Ski Train runs weekly from London St Pancras to Moûtiers, which is a 55-minute transfer to Meribel or Val Thorens. Eurostar + TGV via Paris to Grenoble covers Vaujany. Rail is slower but a lot more relaxing and greener.
Direct flights to Kefalonia (EFL) run May-October from most UK airports, typically 3hr 45min. Off-season or last-minute you can route via Athens or Preveza and our team handles the transfer up to your bay.
In-resort transfers (airport to beach club, or airport to chalet) are included on the vast majority of our holidays. Some flotilla and yacht charter arrivals self-transfer from the airport to the marina (a 20-minute taxi), and we always note which model applies in your written quote.
Who suits our holidays
Yes, and families are a big part of what we do. Beach clubs have free kids watersports from age six, the Alpine Family Club runs a kids club from 6 months to 16 years, and ski school programmes teach in English from age three. Cots, high chairs and interconnecting rooms are available on request.
Absolutely. Singles Sailing is purpose-built for solo travellers (no single supplement , you'll share a cabin with another solo sailor). On beach club weeks, yoga and BlitzFitness are especially popular with solo bookers, and we waive the single supplement on most weeks outside July and August school holidays.
Yes. Intro to Sailing is designed for complete beginners , no experience needed. Every beach club has coached clinics included daily and RYA-qualified instruction at the watersports centre. Ski school teaches English from Day One green-runs up. We'll match you to the right level on arrival.
Yes. West Coast Flotilla and Yacht Charter are aimed squarely at sailors with miles under the keel. Val Thorens and the Three Valleys cover expert-level off-piste with a guide. We'll discuss your experience at the quote stage so the week matches your expectations.
No. Our clubs are all-inclusive but not all-you-can-eat , a lot of guests use one activity a day and spend the rest of the time reading by the pool. The programme is a menu, not a timetable. You decide what you do.
ATOL, insurance & cancellations
Yes. All our holidays are ATOL protected (ATOL 6306) and we also hold IPP insolvency insurance as an extra layer of protection. Your booking is financially secure from the moment you pay your deposit.
We strongly recommend travel insurance with cancellation cover, medical cover (including winter sports for ski holidays, and water sports for sailing), and baggage cover. Ring the team and we'll point you at comparison sites that suit your trip type.
Cancellation terms vary by holiday and by how close to departure you cancel. Your written quote spells out the specific policy for your trip at the point of booking , typically the deposit is non-refundable, with increasing charges as departure approaches. This is why we recommend travel insurance with cancellation cover from the day you book.
If we have to cancel for operational reasons (weather, airline failure, supplier issue) we'll offer a full refund, a transfer to a different week, or an alternative holiday at the same price, whichever you prefer.
Holidays in Greece
Our Kefalonia season runs May to October. May and September are the quietest months with warm seas and smaller crowds; July and August are hot and family-busy. For sailing, the Meltemi wind peaks in July and August giving the liveliest passages.
UK passport holders can visit Greece visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond your return date and issued within the last ten years. We'll remind you to check at the point of booking.
The Ionian Sea is the friendliest sailing water in Europe , reliable afternoon thermal breezes, short hops between sheltered anchorages, and no tide to worry about. Our Kefalonia flotilla routes stick within a 20-mile radius of Lixouri so you're never far from harbour.
Yes, one of our busiest family destinations. Lixouri Bay Beach Club has gentle shelving sand, free kit for kids, and the pool at the club is shaded in the heat of the day. Villa Club is family-geared with private pools and transfers.

If you need to reschedule your holiday to a later date, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email. Yes, you can be the nominated skipper if you hold a valid practical sailing qualification (such as Day Skipper level or equivalent) and meet the experience requirements for the yacht size and type you're chartering. You must also be assisted by at least one other competent crew member. For flotilla holidays, we recommend Day Skipper level as a minimum if you're skippering your own boat. If you don't yet hold the required qualification, we offer sailing courses including ICC (International Certificate of Competence) preparation to help you get flotilla-ready.
To book flights with us, please call us. Have ready the full names of each guest as they appear on their passport and their dates of birth. You can secure your booking immediately by telephone with a valid credit or debit card. Please allow 48 hours after booking before logging in, as this is the time the airline needs to register your booking on their system. For 2027 we are introducing on-line flight booking during the booking process.
Standard flotilla holidays (such as Kefalonia Flotilla and West Coast Flotilla) require you to book the entire boat. However, if you're a solo traveller or prefer a cabin-based experience, we offer Singles Sailing weeks, where you book a private cabin on a shared yacht with a skipper onboard. We also run introduction to sailing courses on a cabin basis for those new to sailing.
Flights can be included as part of your holiday package, depending on the holiday type. For Beach Club, Sailing and Alpine Holidays, you can book flights and transfers as part of a fully ATOL-protected package. If flights are included, they will be added to your invoice and must be paid along with your 25% holiday deposit. Flight prices can vary, so you'll receive an updated booking link with current pricing. If you prefer to arrange your own flights, please provide your preferred departure airport and we can provide flight options for you.
At all our clubs we have family rooms, inter-connecting rooms, family apartments and villa options ( Kefalonia ) to suit families from 3 to 8 persons.
Yes, helmets are provided with the bikes. Guided rides are available twice a day, and you are also welcome to take the bikes out exploring independently. The bike guide can advise on routes.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances sometimes require you to reschedule your holiday. Please contact us as soon as possible by phone (01548 288459) or email to discuss deferring your booking. Whilst we will do our best to help, we cannot guarantee to accommodate all requests as it depends on our holiday availability, the timing of your original booking, and our flight carrier's policies. Holidays close to departure may have restrictions on deferral under our booking terms and conditions. If deferral is not possible, you may be able to claim under your travel insurance, and we can provide necessary documentation to support your claim.
Yes, we can arrange a pre-booked taxi for you. A representative will meet you at the arrivals hall. Please contact us to book this service and for current pricing details.
When guests in your group are on different flights, we can arrange separate transfers to match each arrival time. Please give us all the flight details (arrival times and flight numbers) for each guest when you book, and let us know straight away if any flights change. We coordinate with your accommodation so every guest is collected for their actual arrival, even when the group lands at different times.

All arranged locally by the team in resort. Alpine Club - Vaujany, France We are based in the resort of Vaujany which is found in the heart of the French Alps, Rhone-Isere region, located only one hour from Grenoble by car. We really recommend either driving out or taking the train. Both very carbon-friendly ways to travel, especially with family. By car The majority of our summer guests drive from the UK and you’ll benefit from a car when on holiday to take full advantage of the splendid French Alps setting, and you can bring along your favourite bikes and stop off for nearby groceries on the way. Vaujany is an hour from Grenoble and only 570 miles from Calais (of which 535 miles is motorway). It is certainly doable in a day. However, why not enjoy the scenic drive on the way down? Reims, Dijon or Lyon make for interesting stop-offs if you prefer to break up the journey. French motorways are usually free-flowing and relatively pleasant. By train Grenoble is a mere three hours by TGV from Paris – it couldn’t be easier! It makes for such a hassle free, quick way of arriving in the French Alps. There are plenty of car hire firms right by the train station in Grenoble and in just over an hour you can be in Vaujany alpine mountain resort and in your chalet! Check out Eurostar for the latest prices/availability. By plane The closest airports to Vaujany / Alpe d’Huez during the summer months are Lyon and Geneva. Both airports are serviced by British Airways, Easjet and other major airlines from the UK. Cars can easily be hired from both airports. BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS WITH US! We take all the hassle out of finding and booking suitable flights for our holidays, giving you an ATOL protected package.

Both options work well for families with teenagers. Interconnecting rooms provide more overall space and allow your older children greater independence with their own separate bedroom. Family rooms are more compact, typically featuring a double bed and bunk beds, which may feel tight for teenagers who value privacy. The best choice depends on your family's preference for space and how much separation you'd like between parents and teenage children.
Through your booking portal, just log in and off you go .
Wetsuits are not provided by the company. We recommend bringing a shorty wetsuit if you have space in your luggage, as the water can feel chilly in the wind, particularly during May and after extended time in the water. However, bringing a wetsuit is entirely down to personal preference, and many guests opt for a rash vest and shorts instead. If you have any questions about what to pack, please contact our team on 01548 288459.
An additional watersports pass plus costs £475 per week.
Please notify us of any dietary requirements and allergies at the time of booking or as soon as possible after from your booking portal. This information will be included in the details sent to your hotel before arrival. We also recommend that you confirm these requirements directly with the hotel staff when you check in and again at your first meal to ensure they are fully aware and can accommodate your needs properly.
Yes, room changes can be arranged subject to availability. Please contact us as soon as possible with your request and booking details so we can check what alternatives are available for your dates and help arrange the swap if possible.
Yes, all rooms are equipped with hair dryers.
Yes, transfers to city centres can be arranged instead of airport transfers. Standard airport transfers cost £28 per person. Transfers to city centres incur an additional surcharge due to taxi company charges. For example, a transfer to Athens city centre costs an additional £25 per person on top of the airport transfer fee (total £53 per person). Alternatively, you may be able to use public transport such as the metro from the airport to your accommodation at a lower cost. Please contact us for pricing to your specific destination.
Most standard travel insurance policies cover sailing activities without needing an additional hazardous activity package. However, you should check that yacht sailing is specifically covered by your provider. Many insurers cover yacht sailing as standard if you won't be going more than 12 nautical miles offshore. For activities beyond 12 nautical miles, you may need to request a specialist or extended policy. We recommend verifying the offshore distance limits and activity coverage with your insurance provider before booking.
Yes, there are power sockets available on board for charging phones and other devices. The sockets are European style, so you will need to bring standard plug adapters. There is also power available in the on-shore apartment for higher-powered items such as hair dryers, straighteners or charging blocks.
Guests under 2 years old are not charged as they will not be using the facilities or club board meals. The invoice will reflect the total number of people in the room, but pricing is adjusted to exclude under 2s.

Standard boarding time is 3 pm. Yachts are prepared beforehand, and if your yacht is ready when you arrive, you can board straight away. If preparation is still in progress, you can leave your bags on the boat whilst the team finishes cleaning. If you arrive in the morning, the local area has tavernas, cafes, a beach and attractions such as caves nearby where you can spend time whilst waiting.
Equipment hire to day visitors is available depending on availability of kit and staff, as residents take priority. To arrange a rental, contact the Club Manager directly to check current availability and confirm booking details.
Yes, you can bring your own pedals and shoes. Please let the team know when you arrive and they will get them fitted to your bike for you.
Yes, we keep sailing certificates from previous flotillas on file and can add them to your new booking. However, if you completed an ICC certificate with us, we do not receive a copy of your full ICC certificate, so you'll need to send it to us directly for your next booking. If we don't have your certificates on file, you can send them again at any time.
We recommend shoes with a lighter colour sole that you are comfortable wearing throughout the day. Many guests wear trainers, tennis shoes, deck shoes, or sturdy sandals. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable. You'll probably find yourself barefoot for much of the time, so prioritise comfort above all else.
Yes, you can request to change your holiday dates. Please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email with your preferred new dates. We will confirm whether those dates are available, taking into account our holiday availability and any operational constraints (for example, on some weeks sailing dates may need to start or finish on a Thursday). Once confirmed, we will update your booking and send you a revised invoice.
You will need to provide your theory certificate(s) in advance of your holiday. For a Flotilla Skipper or ICC qualification, this includes your theory certificate and Marine Communication Certificate. You should also upload a digital signature to your IYT account before your trip: sign into your IYT profile, go to Dashboard > Edit my profile > Signature tab, upload an image of your signature, and press Update. This ensures your ICC can be issued once you have completed your course.
To provide an accurate flight quote, we need to know the ages of all travellers. Once you provide this information, our flight specialist will contact you with all available options and send your quote shortly. You can reach us on 01548 288459 (Mon, Fri 9am, 6pm, Sat 9am, 1pm) or fill out our contact form and we'll get back to you with suggestions.
Introduction to Sailing is a week-long learn-to-sail holiday for complete beginners based in Kefalonia. You return to the same port each night, receive tuition from a skipper during the day, and gain exposure to sailing without requiring a qualification. Flotilla sailing is for those with sailing qualifications (we recommend Day Skipper level minimum). In a flotilla, a small group of boats sails together around the Greek islands over 7 days, with the option to skipper your own boat or have a skipper provided. Flotilla offers more independence and a multi-day sailing experience, whereas Introduction to Sailing focuses on learning in a structured, supported environment.
Yes, beginners can earn the IYT Flotilla Skipper qualification, which is equivalent to an RYA Day Skipper qualification. You will complete theory work online before your holiday (by registering with IYT) and then complete the practical element during the week. Both IYT and RYA qualifications can be converted to an ICC (International Certificate of Competence), which is recognised throughout Europe for flotilla sailing and bare boat yacht hire. Most clients with no sailing experience successfully complete these qualifications during the course.
You can pay your remaining deposit online via the website, or by calling our team on 01548 288459 for assistance over the phone. Our UK office is open Mon to Fri 9am to 6pm, and Sat 9am to 1pm.
We require that the charterer has valid practical sailing qualifications. Sailing certifications are typically issued directly to you by the issuing organisation (such as IYT), not sent to us. If we don't have copies of your qualifications on file, please provide a photograph or scanned copy of your certificate when you book or before your holiday begins. This ensures we can verify your experience level matches the yacht you're chartering.
Yes, returning customers receive a loyalty discount on their booking. To keep pricing fair for everyone, it cannot be combined with other discounts. Get in touch and we will apply it to your quote.
We are happy to note room preferences such as floor level or a particular view. Let us know when you book or contact the team in advance, and we will pass your request to the accommodation. Requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Early check-in may be possible depending on whether the previous guests have departed, so we cannot guarantee it in advance. Tell us your expected arrival time when you book and we will do our best. If your room is not ready, you are welcome to use the hotel facilities while you wait.
Yes, helmets are provided with all bikes. We have a few bikes fitted with SPD pedals, but if you prefer a specific type we recommend bringing your own and our team will fit them for you.
You can edit your guest information once after submitting it. If you need to make further changes after that, please contact us and we will update your details for you.
Yes, non-residents can use the beach club with a day pass, which gives full access to the beach club, watersports, fitness classes, yoga and biking. Day passes can get fully booked in peak weeks during July and August, so advance booking is required. Please contact us for current day-pass pricing and availability.
Villas can be booked with optional access to the Beach Club, which includes unlimited windsurfing, sailing, SUP, kayaking, yoga and fitness classes. Paid extras such as RYA sailing courses, guided bike rides, kids and teen activities and group excursions are also available. Activity bookings are made at the Beach Club at the start of your week, with yoga and fitness timetables posted weekly.
Yes, you can usually add a guest after booking, subject to availability. Contact the team with the new guest’s details and we will update your booking and send a revised invoice. You may also need to log in to your account to complete their details and pay any difference.
Card and bank payments can take a few days to show as settled, and you may still receive an automated reminder during that short window. Once it clears, your balance is marked as paid in your online account, where you can log in any time to check the status.
A flotilla holiday includes seven nights aboard a fully equipped yacht with bed linen and a starter pack, an arrival briefing and practice sessions, a free first tank of fuel, daily weather updates, lead-crew support, a tender with oars, a free SUP and end-of-holiday cleaning. A yacht damage waiver or refundable security deposit applies depending on yacht size. Flights and transfers are not included but can be added as an ATOL-protected package.
For a flotilla, one crew member should hold an ICC (International Certificate of Competence) and at least one other an RYA Competent Crew certificate. If you do not yet hold Competent Crew, we can arrange a course beforehand. Bring your original certificates, as the port police may ask to see them. For skippering your own boat we recommend Day Skipper level, though we run mixed-experience fleets with a lead skipper for support.
No, there is no pre-holiday theory for the Competent Crew certificate. All the training is done with our instructors on the water during your week. (The ICC is different and can include an online theory element.)
A skippered charter includes a fully equipped yacht with bed linen and a starter pack, seven nights aboard with a private skipper, an arrival briefing and practice sessions, a free first tank of fuel, daily weather updates, lead-crew support, a tender with oars, a free SUP and end-of-holiday cleaning.
Holidays in France
Val Thorens typically opens in late November and stays open until early May thanks to its altitude (pistes up to 3,230m). Meribel opens early December and runs until late April. Vaujany runs mid-December to mid-April. Snow is reliable from January onwards across all three.
Not by default. Lift passes and equipment hire are bookable alongside the holiday so you only pay for what you need (e.g. small children skip the pass). We get resort-direct rates and pre-book everything so you're ready to ski on arrival.
Yes , it's our summer programme in Vaujany, June to September. Kids club from 6 months, lift-assisted mountain biking, guided walks, canyoning, paragliding, swimming in alpine lakes. No skiing, no snow. Completely different from the winter proposition.
Val Thorens is the highest resort in Europe (2,300m) with guaranteed snow and lively après. Meribel sits at the heart of the Three Valleys with wall-to-wall intermediate terrain and traditional chalet feel. Vaujany is quieter, family-first, on the Grand Domaine (same lifts as Alpe d'Huez) with shorter transfer and lower altitude.
No. Every chalet has English-speaking hosts, ski school teaches in English from age three, and resort staff in all three destinations speak English. A few phrases go a long way for the bakery run but you'll be understood without them.
Holidays in Portugal
Cabedelo is a protected Atlantic-coast beach on the Viana do Castelo estuary in north Portugal, 45 minutes north of Porto. Reliable onshore winds, a long sandy beach and a design-led hotel (Feel Viana) that combines a watersports centre with a restaurant, spa and pool. A quieter alternative to the Algarve.
Our Feel Viana season runs May to October. June to September offers the warmest sea and most consistent wind for windsurf / SUP / kite. May and late October are quieter and cooler , a good shout if you want the hotel with fewer guests.
Yes, and many guests do. Porto airport is 45 minutes from the hotel by road, and a pre- or post-holiday night in the city is easy to arrange. We've got a shortlist of city hotels we book into often , ask when you enquire.
Working with BeyondBeach
Summer roles run May to October across Greece and Portugal. Winter ski roles run December to April in the French Alps. The chalet teams in summer run late June to end of August.
For our Greek and French operations we strongly prefer EU passport holders so you can work without a visa. We can sometimes assist with visas for niche skill sets, but candidates with the right to work in the EU are processed first.
Yes. Beach Club, sailing and chalet roles include accommodation in or near the resort. We share the size and standard of the accommodation in your offer letter so you know what you are accepting.
For most overseas seasonal roles we cover the cost of flights to and from your placement. The detail is confirmed in writing once you have an offer.
Yes. The form has space to list qualifications you are currently working towards plus expected completion dates. For some roles we will sponsor the final certification; for others (yacht skipper, dinghy instructor) you must arrive qualified.
We read every application within two weeks. If you are shortlisted we will set up a video call. If we are not progressing your application we will email and tell you so.
We do video calls first. For some roles (yacht crew, watersports instructors) we will invite you to a one-day team day at our UK office ahead of the season. We cover travel for that day.
