Vaujany did not disappoint nor did the accommodation /staff and the organisation to make us have a wonderful family holiday. Fantastic location with so much to do from hiking / tennis / biking / swimming/ rafting.

We love all things skiing and boarding. Most of the team have worked seasons in the French Alps and have been organising ski holidays for their own friends and families for years. BeyondPiste is our specialist ski company with a small, carefully chosen selection of snow-sure chalets and hotels in France.

Choose how you like to stay. Our Val Thorens and Méribel hotels are half-board with a 5-course dinner every night. Chalet Sika in Vaujany is yours to self-cater, with a chef on request. At our own Chalet La Grange d'Alice in Les Arcs, the chalet team cooks breakfast, afternoon tea and six dinners with wine.

Hotel Le Sherpa at 2,300m, with pistes up to 3,230m. Val Thorens is the snow-sure pick: one of the longest seasons in the Alps (late November to early May) and the most reliable cold-snow conditions. Only resort in the Three Valleys above the tree line. Ski-in ski-out from the hotel door.

Hotel & Spa Le Mottaret at the heart of the Three Valleys lift system (600km of piste on one pass). Pretty wooden-chalet resort, livelier après than Val Thorens, lift-linked to Courchevel and Val Thorens without having to drive anywhere.
Quieter Grand Domaine alternative.
Chalet Sika in Vaujany on the Grand Domaine (250km of piste lift-linked to Alpe d'Huez via a purpose-built gondola). Far fewer crowds than the Three Valleys. Where BeyondPiste started: James, one of the founders, did his seasons in Vaujany and still finds new backcountry runs each year.

Chalet La Grange d'Alice at Les Granges, new for winter 2027. A restored 200-year-old chalet d'alpage above Bourg-Saint-Maurice: six bedrooms, hot tub, sauna, open log fire. Two pistes from Arc 1600 finish at the hamlet and the free funicular is 150m away, so you ski home and ride up. 425km of Paradiski piste, La Plagne via the Vanoise Express. Rooms for two hosted weeks, or take the whole chalet.

Hotel Le Sherpa in Val Thorens and Hotel & Spa Le Mottaret in Méribel are half-board, ski-in ski-out hotels on the Three Valleys, with breakfast and a 5-course dinner every evening. Chalet Sika in Vaujany is a private, self-catered chalet for up to 14, 100m from the lift, with a chef available on request. And Chalet La Grange d'Alice in Les Arcs, new for winter 2027, is our own catered chalet: breakfast, afternoon tea and six dinners with wine, with two pistes finishing at the hamlet.

Four, all in the French Alps. Val Thorens (Three Valleys, the highest resort in Europe), Meribel (the heart of the Three Valleys), Vaujany (the quieter Grand Domaine, lift-linked to Alpe d'Huez), and new for winter 2027, Les Arcs, where Chalet La Grange d'Alice is on the Paradiski.
Ski lessons are not bundled into the holiday price, because different guests need different lesson levels and group sizes. We pre-arrange English-speaking group or private lessons at your resort based on your ability before you travel. Group lessons are typically around EUR 150 to EUR 200 for a 6-day morning course; private lessons run EUR 300 to EUR 600 per day depending on resort and season.

It depends where you stay. Chalet La Grange d'Alice in Les Arcs is fully catered by our chalet team: breakfast, afternoon tea and 6 dinners with wine. Hotel Le Sherpa and Hotel & Spa Le Mottaret are half-board hotels with breakfast and a 5-course dinner every evening. Chalet Sika in Vaujany is self-catered, with a chef available on request.
Transfers aren't included in the price, but we can arrange them when you book. Geneva is the main airport for Val Thorens, Méribel and Les Arcs, and Vaujany is quicker from Grenoble or Lyon. The Eurostar ski train is another option for the Three Valleys.
Not by default. Lift passes and equipment hire are bookable alongside the holiday so you only pay for what you need (for example, small children can skip the pass). We pre-book everything so you are ready to ski on arrival.
Yes. Every resort and address is hand-picked with families in mind, we pre-book ski school, hire and lift passes so you're ready to ski on arrival, and Le Sherpa serves early dinners for children on request. Our hotels offer family discounts.
Val Thorens typically opens in late November and stays open until early May thanks to its altitude. Meribel runs early December to late April, and Vaujany mid-December to mid-April. Snow is reliable from January onwards across all our resorts.
