Vaujany did not disappoint nor did the accommodation /staff and the organisation to make us have a wonderful family holiday. Fantastic location with so much to do from hiking / tennis / biking / swimming/ rafting.

Alpine summer holidays in the French Alps.
Summer in the French Alps is all fresh air, sunshine and big mountain days. Our chalet in Vaujany feels more like staying with friends, with rafting, tree-top trails and kids club sessions all part of the week.
Vaujany is a quiet, traditional village at 1,250m with a purpose-built gondola connecting it to the Alpe d'Huez lift system. The mountains are on your doorstep, the roads are empty, and the chalet cooking is proper home-made mountain food.

What an Alpine summer week looks like.
Mountain days that suit every age, from a chalet in a village that stays quiet all summer.
Walking and biking.
From gentle rambles to the waterfall to big days above 2,500m, the hiking starts at the chalet door, and your hosts share their favourite routes. Cyclists can ride famous Alpine cols or hit the bike parks and mountain bike trails; bikes are hired locally, and the included 3-day lift pass does the climbing on lift days.
Rafting, tree tops and more.
A white water rafting discovery session and a tree-top adventure park session, with zip lines and high wires, are included in the week. Via ferrata, canyoning, paragliding and horse-riding can be booked locally, and the Privilege Pass gives up to 40% off the pool, spa, climbing and more.
Kids club sessions.
Two sessions at the Vaujany kids club are included, and more can be booked when you arrive. Tell us your children's ages when you book and we will point you at the right activities for them.
Chalet life at Maison Rostaing.
Maison Rostaing is a traditional converted alpine farmhouse in La Villette, Vaujany. Breakfast is fresh baguettes and a continental buffet, homemade cakes come out in the garden every afternoon, and three evening meals, including a BBQ, are served with wine. Three Stretch & Relax sessions in the garden are included too.
Vaujany, a proper Alpine village.
Vaujany is a quiet, traditional village in the Oisans, with empty roads and the mountains on the doorstep, and a lift link into the Alpe d'Huez ski area. On the nights you're not eating at the chalet, you can self-cater or eat in the village.
Getting there.
Vaujany is about a 2 hour flight from the UK, with Grenoble and Lyon the closest airports and a transfer of under two hours. Flights and transfers can be added when you book, and every holiday is ATOL protected.
