Hotel & Spa Le Mottaret, Méribel
What we say
Hotel & Spa Le Mottaret is a ski-in, ski-out hotel in Méribel-Mottaret, part of the legendary Three Valleys ski area. Set right on a green run with the main Mottaret lift moments away, getting out on the slopes each morning couldn't be simpler. It's one of the most conveniently connected hotels in the Three Valleys, with easy access across to Val Thorens and Courchevel.
Inside, the hotel leans into classic French Alpine charm: wooden balconies, chunky stone walls, a cosy lounge with an open fireplace, board games built into the tables and plenty of squashy sofas for a post-ski afternoon with a book. It's thoughtful and unpretentious in a way purpose-built Alpine hotels rarely are.
After the slopes, the spa takes over. Indoor pool, outdoor jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, gym and a full treatment menu. Food is hearty — a big breakfast with fresh crêpes and waffles, and a daily-changing 5-course buffet dinner featuring soups, salads, grills and trays of cheesy tartiflette. The kind of place that makes you want to book next winter before you leave.

Le Mottaret runs on half board. Breakfast is a generous spread with freshly made crêpes and waffles to order — the kind of thing you only really want on a ski holiday. Evenings are a 5-course buffet that changes daily, running from soup and salads through hot mains to cheese and dessert. It's unpretentious, generous and well-cooked. One of the easier half-board hotels to spend a week in.
Half board: big buffet breakfast + 5-course buffet dinner every night. Lunches on the mountain, spa + pool included.

Crêpes + waffles for breakfast
The chef-made crêpes and waffles at breakfast are a small thing that you remember afterwards. Two minutes of wait time, a deep freshly-made stack, a pot of Nutella, a fruit compote, and one of the better reasons to stay at this particular hotel rather than somewhere else in Mottaret.

Location
- Hotel & Spa Le Mottaret, MéribelYour base
Meribel
Meribel sits at the heart of the Three Valleys — Europe's biggest linked ski area with 600km of pistes on one pass. Our base is Mottaret, the satellite village a few lifts higher up the valley, where every door opens onto a green run and the lift queues are shorter.
Getting there
Méribel-Mottaret is reachable from three main airports: Chambery (~2 hr), Lyon (~3 hr) and Geneva (~3 hr). Flight time from the UK is 1hr 40 to 2 hours. Flights are not usually included — we can book them as part of an ATOL-protected package (ATOL 12803). Transfers organised through our partner network.
Chambery (CMF) is the closest for Méribel-Mottaret in winter with direct UK seasonal flights. Lyon (LYS) and Geneva (GVA) offer more direct UK options year-round with slightly longer transfers. Resort tax €1.87 pp per day, under-18s free, paid at the hotel.
Fly Chambery when you can; the transfer is shorter and the approach through the Tarentaise valley is pretty. If you're driving from the UK, Calais to Mottaret is ~9 hours motorway most of the way.
