We had a fantastic holiday in Stira Bay. The whole team were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The activities were great and were expertly managed. Thanks to the get to know you sessions, the teens all made friends and didn’t want to leave! We will be back!
Stira Bay Beach Club
What we say
Tucked away on the peaceful western coast of beautiful Evia island, this charming family-run hotel is a hidden gem. It's a tranquil spot with a cool vibe and knock-out sunsets.
Comfy rooms are nestled on the hillside amongst the scented pines and colourful oleanders, and the crystal clear waters are great for swimming and snorkelling.
The island's consistent summer winds are a gift for watersports enthusiasts, and the surrounding villages are a must to explore by mountain bike or on foot. Our RYA-recognised watersports centre is stacked with first-class kit, and our incredibly friendly team of BeyondBeachies is always ready to help with a smile.

Food & drink
We include all breakfasts, three evening meals and welcome drinks. That gives you the chance to wander along the beach in the evening and sample the amazing local tavernas in the seafront town of Nea Styra and the old village of Styra in the hills behind.
All breakfasts, 2 sunset beach BBQs, 1 buffet night and welcome drinks are included. Lunch is pay-as-you-go at Lefka taverna or the beach bar.

We love the food
At the club you can expect to taste an excellent variety of locally sourced and fresh ingredients, served at the beachfront Lefka taverna. From classic Greek kitchen dishes, seasonal salads and freshly grilled sardines to a hearty club hamburger, we cater for all dietary requirements and fussy eaters too.
Sardelitsa — Nea Styra

To Steki Ton Dipnosofiston — old Styra
5 to 10 min taxiA wonderful traditional taverna under the cool branches of a very old oak tree in the village in the hills. The atmosphere is relaxing and the food sensational.

Itinerary
Support sessions run across the day with paddle and sailing excursions mid-morning and group coaching in the afternoons. There is plenty to keep you busy, and plenty of breathing room to do nothing at all.
The Safety Briefing at the start of the week is mandatory for anyone who wants to go on the water. Kit is available from 10:00 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 18:00. The schedule below is a guide; resort chalkboards carry the latest daily programme.

Evia
The island of Evia in Greece is in a peaceful location, away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Athens. Part of the Aegean islands and just off the eastern coast of the mainland, it's popular for its hiking trails and outdoor activities. Evia is still, however, relatively undiscovered by international tourists.
Getting there
Flights are not usually included in our holiday packages. We offer a bespoke travel experience and some guests prefer to organise their own travel independently.

Many guests do, however, choose to take advantage of our Travel Planner by booking their flights with us for the peace of mind of an ATOL protected holiday and, of course, for the added convenience. Our ATOL license 12803 ensures that the whole holiday, including flights, is protected.
Athens (ATH) is served year-round from most UK airports. If you book your own flights, please arrive by 18:00 on Sunday and depart Athens no earlier than 11:00 on your return day so the transfer timings work.
Book Athens flights a little early — the airport is one of the busiest in the Mediterranean through summer. On arrival it is roughly a 50 to 60 minute drive to Agia Marina, then a short, frequent ferry across the channel to Evia (45 min), and a 5 minute hop to the club. For many guests, the ferry is a highlight of the whole trip.
Guest reviews
What a week! As a family staying at Stira Bay, we had the best time. The whole team was fantastic, helpful, and always smiling. The weather was amazing, with enough wind for some great windsurfing and lighter days for sailing and kayaking. Stira Bay really did offer it all, in such a great location. We will be back!
We had a brilliant week in Evia with Beyond Beach - we genuinely all felt like we'd had a proper holiday. As parents to three kids, we've always had our hands full but this time they were happy to do activities with the fantastic instructors and with their new mates! We enjoyed sailing with them too, but it was brilliant to be in such a safe place that they could enjoy their independence. Fantastic support prior to the holiday, helping with transfers etc and throughout the holiday - we would thoroughly recommend a Beyond Beach Holiday! Five stars all round!
